No, I'm a couple of hours from the Twin Cities.
How bad was the storm?
It was pretty bad. I got an EAS warning on my phone, we had constant thunder for several hours, and rain was extremely heavy. A lot of people lost power.
That sucks, man. Hope there wasn't any damage to any buildings or anything.
That's nothing compared to the storm we got here last summer, though. It was a supercell thunderstorm with the force of a category 1 hurricane.
Really glad I was in Aitkin that night instead of at home. We lost so many trees here. We also had a tree fall on the house and one of it's branches went through the skylight in the kitchen. Part of the deck railing got wrecked, too. And our shed got destroyed.
Damn... I didn't get any damage. I'll ask my dad, though. He is a firefighter. (I am really surprised he isn't retired.)
