When I listen to this, a castle in a forest is exactly what I picture! Rightfully titled! Haha.

I also think about the Meridell castle in Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, but that's just me.

Anyways, this song is very calming and majestic. I wouldn't change anything about it, it's perfect. Very professional work was done here and I'm amazed. This is one of the best songs I've ever heard on Newgrounds.

Woah, thanks man!

I really like the fast beat and all of the different techno sounds you used. It also has a cool eerie sound to it, which I was not expecting.

Also, my insight on 0:56-1:12 is that it doesn't sound horrible, but it sounds kind of rough because there's one element that just doesn't really fit in there.

sebastien01 responds:

Glad you liked these sounds :) I used 4 instruments, a lot of the sounds popping up here and there are coming from different effects or oscillator tweak on these instruments, nice that you noticed them, I was wondering if they were going to sound well in other people's audio systems.

For the 0:56-1:12 part, it will be different on the completed song for sure ! :P I should have worked on it a little bit more before I upload the preview on NG, I think I will remove the super high instrument and the kind of melody, it gonna be a more powerfull bassline and I'll work on the drum set to make it more interesting.

Thanks for the review!

The guitar is very beautiful and calming, but the woman's voice that keeps repeating throughout the song gets annoying and just doesn't go well with the song. I recommend taking the woman's voice out of the song. This track would be more soothing if it didn't have a voice interrupting the beautiful guitar playing.

rootless responds:

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the review. The female voice is not actually part of the song, it's a watermark added by the site MotionElements.com, where the original file is available for download. Sorry for the confusion!

It has a nice retro style sound to it, I like it! It's energetic and fast paced and I can see it being a great track for a platformer type game.

demon1000 responds:

Cool thanks Man!

Very beautiful and relaxing song! I wouldn't recommend changing anything about it, it's perfect.

TsetsukenMusic responds:

Thank you so much!!

A very nice, eerie sounding song. Although, it could really do without the beat drops that sound like a person knocking on a door. It adds a little too much to the eerie and dark sound of the song.

A very soothing and relaxing song. While I listened to it I kept imagining that I was playing Kirby with this song as the background music. Sounds like something Kirby game developers would put as a track for a certain world or level. Definitely a good thing in my book!

It's an extremely enjoyable song with soft electronic and piano melodies, a nice beat, and comforting bells. Excellent work!

demon1000 responds:

Thanks Man! And Kirby Devs You say? *!!!* I think i got an idea! Thanks again Man!

The majority of the song is too intense. The snare in the background or whatever it is (sorry, I don't make music) just makes the majority of the song sound horrible. When that part is playing, it overpowers the other instruments because of how loud it sounds. Also, it sounds kind of distorted.

I'm sorry, but this is just a bad song.

BuilderJR responds:

I fully understand you. I should make good one ;).

I saw your request in the Review Request Club, so I thought I'd help you out. :)

This song is really happy and upbeat and I think it would be great for use in a video game! It would be best in an arcade or platformer type of game, in my opinion. You should keep on eye out for game makers here on NG who need someone to provide audio for an upcoming game of theirs. This is a great song and I really hope you find the perfect use for it sooner rather than later!

At the very beginning of the song it kind of reminded me of some medieval/castle music that I've heard in a video game before, which I really liked. I also liked how that evolved into a beat with a snare and some electronica stuff going on (and some other sounds that I don't know the names of, of course) then goes back to how the song started out, but with those elements being slowly added in (except for the beat, since that gets added in right away once it starts again).

I'm really glad to see some new music from you! It's been a little while! Keep up the great work with your music!

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.
